Thanksgiving Broadcast of Hymns Of Hope & Healing To Air On Pax-TV

October 28, 2002/PORTLAND, OR?The television special, Hymns of Hope & Healing?out of the ashes, will be broadcast by PAX-TV on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, from 1:00-3:00 pm Eastern/Pacific (12:00-2:00 pm Central).

Hymns of Hope & Healing offers unique, powerful stories behind some of America's most loved hymns ? along with stirring accounts and interviews filmed at the heart of Ground Zero and the Pentagon. The rescue workers and those who lost families and friends share how enduring hymns of faith offered hope and sustained them through the tragedy of September 11.

Narrated and presented by renowned actor and TV host, Clifton Davis, the featured hymn stories include: Amazing Grace, It Is Well With My Soul, How Great Thou Art, Abide With Me, and America The Beautiful. Interviews include Dr. Billy Graham, George Beverly Shea, Dr. Robert Schuller and Major George Polarek, Incident Commander, Salvation Army, from the World Trade Center disaster relief effort. Artists include CeCe Winans, Sandi Patty and Ripley Fairchild with her moving rendition of America The Beautiful. The program also introduces 19-year-old Adriel Heiss singing It Is Well With My Soul and telling of her experience working at Ground Zero. Film locations include Manhattan and Ground Zero ? at the foot of the Steel Cross, Washington DC, the Rocky Mountains, the Grand Canyon and Mount Rushmore.
